Cookie policy
Last updated 7 October 2026
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. This policy covers the cookies and similar browser storage that hiperspec.com uses, what each kind is for, and how to change your choice.
What we set
Strictly necessary cookies keep the cart working and remember your cookie choice. Nothing else is set until you choose.
Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel are not loaded at all until you grant consent to their category. You can change your choice at any time from the link in the footer.
The categories
- Essential. Needed for the cart, checkout, your chosen country and currency, and security. These are always on, because the shop does not work without them. In Australia and New Zealand this includes the Afterpay and Klarna messaging shown beside our prices, which comes from their servers and may set cookies of their own to work. It is part of showing you how you can pay, so it does not wait for your choice.
- Analytics. Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics. These show us which pages are visited and where people get stuck, so we can improve the site. Off until you accept.
- Advertising. Meta Pixel and Google Ads. These measure how our ads
perform and help show relevant ones. Off until you accept.
The Meta Pixel sets the
_fbpcookie, and_fbcwhen you arrive from a Meta ad, each lasting 90 days. Accepting advertising also turns on Google signals and the advanced matching described below.
Advanced matching
If you accept advertising cookies, the Meta Pixel and the Google tag look for details you type into forms on this site, such as your name and email address in the contact or review form. They scramble them with a one-way hash, then send the hashed values to Meta and Google. Each uses them to match your visit to an account you hold with it, so we can see which ads led to a sale and show ads to people who have visited before. Neither receives these details from us in readable form, and none are sent if you decline advertising cookies.
Google signals
If you accept advertising cookies and are signed in to a Google account that allows ad personalisation, Google links your visit to that account. We see the result only as totals, such as how many visitors moved from phone to laptop, never as individuals. You can turn this off for every site at myadcenter.google.com.
Checkout
When you go to checkout you leave this site for Shopify’s checkout, which sets its own cookies to take payment securely and prevent fraud. Shopify’s cookie policy covers those.
Changing your choice
Use the cookie settings button on this page, or the cookie settings link in the footer, to change or withdraw your consent at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the cart may stop working if you block essential ones.
